In January 2026, Amazon Australia partnered with Harris Farm Markets to launch grocery delivery to Sydney and, later that year, to Brisbane, Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle. Same-day and next-day delivery sounds convenient, especially if you do not have a car or time to shop. But is it actually affordable if you are budgeting groceries week to week?

The short answer: it depends on whether you value fresh produce and convenience enough to pay more than Coles or Woolworths.

What is Amazon Fresh + Harris Farm delivery?

Harris Farm Markets is a premium fresh grocer, think better-quality vegetables, more butcher choice, and higher prices. When you order through Amazon, you get same-day or next-day delivery to your door. The minimum order is $50, and the delivery fee is $15 unless you meet the free-delivery threshold.

Amazon offers free delivery to Prime members on orders of $100 or more. If you are not a Prime member, you need to spend $200 to get free delivery. Otherwise, you pay $15 flat.

Is it cheaper than Coles and Woolworths?

No. SmartCompany reported in 2026 that Harris Farm prices on the Amazon platform "will cost more than Coles and Woolies." The value proposition here is not price, it is freshness and convenience.
