How to delete your Pinch account
You can delete your account directly from the Pinch app at any time. No email or support request is required.
Steps
- Open the Pinch app on your device.
- Tap the Settings tab (gear icon in the bottom navigation bar).
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen.
- Tap Delete Account.
- You may be asked to re-authenticate (sign in again) to confirm your identity.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account will be deleted immediately upon confirmation.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Authentication credentials: your email address, sign-in method (Google, Apple, or email), and Firebase authentication record.
- Shopping lists: all lists you have created, including items, quantities, and checked-off status.
- Saved recipes: all recipes you have imported or created, including ingredients and notes.
- Watchlist: any products you are tracking for price changes.
- Meal images: any photos you have uploaded for your recipes.
- Notification preferences: your price drop alert settings and push notification tokens.
What data is retained
Anonymised analytics data (such as aggregated feature usage and app performance metrics) may be retained after account deletion because it is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you.
All identifiable personal data is deleted within 30 days of your request, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
